There are an estimated 153 million orphans in the world. No Longer is working to be a part of the solution. Partnering with a local church in Santo Domingo, DR, and its pastor, Pastor Altagracias, No Longer has built and continues to financially support an orphanage called Casa Amor. Casa Amor is currently home to 24 orphaned boys and girls who would otherwise be living on the dangerous streets without anyone to care for them. The property includes dorms for boys and girls, a garden, a large kitchen, administrative offices, an eating pavilion, a basketball court and playground.
No Longer is a ministry that finds its roots here at FBC Trussville. As part of the body of Christ, the ministry of No Longer, is joining together to serve and intercede for the least of these. Ongoing orphan care is $90 per child per month. This pays for food, clothing, education, plus mamas and security salaries.
Last year, the kids at FBCT raised over $4000 during VBS to help buy a bus to transport the kids to school and church. That’s just one way we are helping out this ministry. For more information, check out their website at www.no-longer.com!
